Parental Filter ranks first for the 3rd time in Filtra test
Parental Filter elected "Best Parental Control Software" among
25 tested solutions available in the market.
Profil Technology, a specialist in content control and filtering solutions and publisher of software program Parental Filter, is proud to announce that its product dedicated to the protection of young Internet users has been elected "Best Parental Control Software" in the Filtra benchmark test conducted by the French child protection association "Action Innocence", outstripping 25 other software applications.
Out of 25 products, Parental Filter is the only one ranking N°1 in terms of filtering, N°1 in terms of available features and N°1 in terms of ease of use, and is also the only one that was awarded the "Good" mark. Ranking in first position on every tested criterion with an overall score of 5.3 out of 6, Parental Filter confirms its leadership and the filtering quality of its new "ICE" engine, developped by Profil Technology's teams.
"The ICE® (Intelligent Content Evaluation) is an advanced technology allowing content analysis and automatic categorisation, based on an artifical intelligence engine created internally by Profil Technology's Research & Development teams. The filtering engine comes in at various levels: text documents are analyzed and classified “on-the-fly”, not only taking syntax into account, but also according to their genuine structure (charset, colours, layout, links directing to litigious websites) as well as their semantic content," comments Jean-François Duffourg, Head of R&D at Profil Technology. "The advanced ICE technology settles to which category belongs a given document from the fetched elements it has detected in it. The document is then accepted or rejected according to the profile settings that have been defined specifically for the young Internet user."
"Most parents are aware of the fact that the Internet can expose their children to many potential threats. With this in mind, they are looking for a reliable and proven solution as they cannot supervise young Internet users all the time. By ranking first in the Filtra test, Parental Filter confirms the quality of its filtering engines that can be set according to the profile and maturity of each user. Parental Filter is a comprehensive solution that addresses parents' concerns on a more global scale, such as choosing the people with whom their children can "chat" with or setting up time slots for computer use" concludes Franck Chartier, Editions Profil's Marketing Manager.
Parental Filter is available in 6 languages as a download and in retail stores at the recommended price of €39.95 (including taxes), with a license for 2 personal computers. It is also available as a volume license version and as an OEM version (pack of 5, 50 or 100 CDs), including for schools.
